En el Islam, la comparación de Dios con la creación.

La práctica de atribuir características humanas a Dios es considerada un pecado en la teología islámica, al igual que la práctica opuesta, el taʽtīl (despojar a Dios de todos los atributos). La dificultad al momento de abordar la naturaleza de Dios en el Islam surge de las visiones aparentemente contradictorias en el Corán, que describen a Dios como único, pero también con ojos, orejas, manos y rostro. El tashbīh está prohibido por temor a que dicha práctica lleve al paganismo y la idolatría; se teme que el taʽtīl conduzca al ateísmo.
